Functions of human reseurce departments: A investigation in İzmir Atatürk Organize Sanayi Bölgesi

After the world wide global industrialism, human factor in production and decision facilities have been valued since the effect of globalism. Human factor seemed to be the most valuable factor in industry and business. During this industrialism period business organizations and companies had developed a new department as personnel management in order to apply legality and match the most suitable abilities for the purpose of employing ideal workman or staff. The classic personnel management has been aiming to become Human Resource Management in recent years. This socio-global revolution has centered the importance and value of human factor as domain of business and organization. The target of Human Resource Management is to succeed within the combination of other organizational departments; planning and decision support, election and employment accounting department. Human Resource department has been newly forming in our country which has not been completed its industrialism period. This development formation specially observed in big organizations in big metropols. The aim of this study is to find the applicable of the functions of Human Resource Management in our country. In this survey there exist, 100 companies which has different capasities in different sectors in İzmir Atatürk Organize Sanayi Bölgesi. At the end of the survey, the findings are; it is not used the functions of Human Resource Management in the companies exactly and it is observed that all the decisions are taken by industrialists or general management.
