Nowadays, the demand of institutions to obtain an advantage towards competitors seemingly increases in parallel with the latest technological developments and the increase of global competition. This reveals that the most significant resource of institutions is labor force; therefore, decent employees. Institutions, while obtaining an advantage over competitors must provide the level of job satisfaction of employees regarding the work they do. Meanwhile, institutions must also increase the level of employee competency so that they may provide more efficient results. In order to have a better understanding of how competency and job satisfaction effects performance within the scope of Performance Assessment in Human Resources Management; research has been made on 180 employees via survey method, in a company active in the fasteners industry located in Istanbul. The results of the research reveal that job satisfaction and employee competency has a direct influence on performance.
