The Role of human resources management in the excellence model

Also in this study; the commonpoints of Human Resources Management functions and Excellence Modelconcepts and criteria are analyzed and synthesized. According to the results,the effect of HRM to the Excellence Model is discussed.In the first part, the emerging point of HRM and its situation at thepresent time are explained. Steps and processes in the Strategic HumanResources Management and Competency Based Human ResourcesManagement and the structure of HRM Knowledge Systems are cleared.Additional to this, the development of HRM in Turkey and the viewpoints ofthe companies in Turkey about HRM are explained.In the second part, the Excellence Model that helps executing TotalQuality Management which is a management philosophy that focuses on thehuman in a copmany and providing self assessment to the companies whichaim excellence is introduced and the connection between Human ResourcesManagement and Excellence Model is defined.Key Words :1) Human Resources Management, 2) EFQM Excellence Model, 3) StrategicHuman Resources Management, 4) Competency Based Human ResourcesManagement, 5) Self Assessment
