Abstract (EN)
Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs) are defined as the ground vehicles which are remotely RF controlled, either by human or autonomously. UGVs are designed to accomplish military or civilian missions. UGVs are used in military missions such as observation, defense, intelligence, reconnaissance, etc. and in civilion missions such as logistics, search and rescue, civilian oversight and mineral exploration. The aim of UGVs is to accomplish the given job without harming people. This thesis presents the modification of an RF controlled All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) in terms of its control systems and mechanisms. The Steering wheel, brakes, gear and gas are all modified to control the direction, speed and torque of the vehicle. For the purpose of aforementioned control, there placed a Raspberry Pi on the ATV. ATV control through Raspberry Pi is designed to accomplish the given job sent by operator while taking into account the impact data coming from the surrounding area.
