In patients with Oral antidiabetics, the subgroup with the strongest positive attitude was "attitude towards patient harmony", while in patients with insulin use it was identified as the "Special Education Requirement" subgroup. The lower size with the lowest score in both groups is the "severity of Type 2 diabetes" subgroup. Patients in both groups who used Oral antidiabetics and insulin were found to have no serious problems with diabetes. The DPAÖ score of the patients using oral antidiabetics was 29.6±10.69 and the DPAÖ score of the patients using insulin was 33.73±10.47. It was thought that patients may have been affected in this direction as a result of having a positive attitude towards diabetes. Diabetes, especially in the elderly, is an important factor in patient autonomy. Therefore, it is very important to turn attitudes towards positives in planning self-care.
