Abstract (EN)
Diabetes Mellitus is one of the most common diseases nowadays. Statistics shows that thepercentage of people suffers from this disease is increasing. However, the treatment methods, the way and also the type of insulin molecule is getting developed by the pharmaceuticalcompanies. Recently, the most non-immunojen insulin type is being used. There have beenseveral formulas used by diabetic patients in the market. These insulins are being produced byrecombinant DNA technology. In this study; Type I and Type II diabetes, recently used insulin therapies, insulin mechanismin a cell, synthesis of insulin conjugates, effect of PEG conjugation on insulin mechanism, preparation of insulin- PEG conjugate and their immunologic characteristics, humoral andcellular antigenicity, allergenicity, biological effects, pharmacocinetic and pharmacodynamicparameteres were investigated.
