Özet (EN)

The goal of this study is the confirmation of ?Radiologic Union Score System for Tibial Fractures? with a clinical study. For this purpose, the patients who are had an intramedullary nailing operation after tibial fractures, at The Orthopaedics and Traumatology Department of Dokuz Eylül University Medicine Faculty in between 2005 -2010 years, determined and added to this study. In total 41 patients were determined. These patients called to the hospital and examined from us. After examination, each patient took a Karlstrom-Olerud physical function value. And after answering questionnaire, each patient took a VAS resting value, a VAS activating value, a SF-36 pyhsical function value and a SF-36 pain value. At last we assessed all radiologic x-rays and gave a RUST score for each x-rays. All these scores compared with one another. As a result, after comparing with other parameters, the Radiologic Union Score System found significant in terms of p value. In other words, when the pysical conditions and pain scores were good for union, the RUST score also was good. Besides after comparing all of other parameters, all results were significant. Therefore we think that, the Radiographic Union Score System will can use for classification of radiologic union for fractures or this system will can be a source for new classifications in the future. But other wide studies have to do, to accept this system as a classification for fractures.
