Özet (EN)
INVESTIGATION OF ASPROSIN AND METEORIN-LIKE PROTEIN IMMUNREACTIVITIES IN INVASIVE BREAST CARCINOMA Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer in women and the second most common type of cancer worldwide, and it is the second most common cancer-related death after lung cancer. In this study, we aimed to investigate the immunoreactivity of asprosin and meteorin like protein (METRNL) in invasive breast cancer. Asprosin and METRNL immunoreactivity were investigated in 20 randomly selected normal breast tissue and 60 invasive ductal breast cancer (20 Grade 1, 20 Grade 2 and 20 Grade 3) cases from Fırat University Hospital Pathology Department Laboratory. As a result of the examination of the immunohistochemical staining for the determination of Asprosin and METRNL immunoreactivity with light microscopy; When all groups were compared with the One-way ANOVA test, it was determined that there was a significant difference in the immunoreactivity of asprosin and METRNL between all groups (p<0.001). In the pairwise comparison of the groups for the determination of asprosin immunoreactivity, it was determined that there was a significant difference between Grade 1 (p<0.001), Grade 2 (p<0.001) and Grade 3 (p<0.001) when compared with the Control group, and there was an increase in asprosin immunoreactivity in all grades. However, when Grade 1 was compared, no significant difference was found in asprosin immunoreactivity in the pairwise comparison of Grade 2 (p=0.857) and Grade 3 (p=0.962), and Grade 2 and Grade 3 (p=0.990). As a result of the Posthoc Tukey test performed for the pairwise comparison of the groups for the detection of METRNL immunoreactivity, it was determined that there was a significant difference between all groups when compared with the Control group, and an increase in METRNL immunoreactivity in all grades (p<0.001). However, in the pairwise comparison of Grade 1 and Grade 2 (p=0.996) and Grade 1 and Grade 3 (p=0.999), Grade 2 and Grade 3, there was no significant difference in METRNL immunoreactivity (p=0.985). In conclusion, immune reactivity of asprosin and METRNL increases at the cellular level in invasive breast cancer, but there is no difference between breast cancer grades.
