Abstract (EN)
In this study, we analyze the ground state properties of the condensate for different potentials. These are harmonic oscillator potential which is solved in literature anharmonic and morse potentials which have not been investigated before. This thesis has two main parts. In the first part, ground state solutions for different potentials are obtained. We have used the Runge-Kutta method to solve time-independent Gross-Pitaevskii equation for determination of the ground state wave function of system. The second part involves the solution of time-independent Gross-Pitaevskii equation for the same potentials by using Thomas-Fermi Approximation. This approximation method is valid in systems that have very large number of atoms in the condensate.
