Özet (EN)

In this study, it is aimed to investigate burnout and KPSS anxiety levels among science teacher candidates in terms of various variables. These variables are gender, socio-economic level, class level, academic achievement and non-resident status of the program they study in the university. In this study, "survey model " was used as a research model. The sample of the study consisted of 114 students from 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade students studying in the Science Teaching program at Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University Ereğli Faculty of Education in 2018-2019 academic year. In the selection of the sample, the selection of easy-to-reach sample was preferred due to the fact that the responsible researcher was the institution he continued to study. In the study, it was investigated whether there was a significant relationship between the burnout and KPSS(public personnel selection examination) anxiety levels of teacher candidates and current burnout and KPSS anxiety levels in teacher candidates. In addition, it was investigated whether there was a significant difference in the burnout and KPSS anxiety levels of the prospective teachers according to their academic achievements determined by gender, socio-economic level, grade level and weighted grade point averages. Also, it was investigated whether there was a significant difference in burnout and KPSS anxiety levels according to whether they have been willingly settled in the program they study in university or not.As a result of the analysis; the current burnout (3.28) of the students was at medium level and the current KPSS concerns were at the middle level (3.04). One of the important results determined within the scope of the study is that there is a low but positive and statistically significant relationship between the burnout scores of the teacher candidates and KPSS anxiety points. This means that if pre-service teachers' KPSS test anxiety increases, their burnout levels will also increase. In addition, there was no significant difference between both the burnout and KPSS anxiety levels of the teacher candidates according to the gender variable. Only a significant difference was found between the socioeconomic level and the low and middle level socio-economic status of the KPSS anxiety levels. It has been determined that students with low socio-economic level in terms of KPSS anxiety scores have more positive thoughts than students with moderate socio-economic level. When the level of anxiety in the KPSS is examined in terms of class level; While the 1st and 2nd year students who are in the beginning of their education had more negative thoughts, it was found that 3rd and 4th grade students who approached the end of learning life had more positive thoughts. Another important result is that both the burnout and KPSS anxiety levels of the students who have unwillingly settled in the program they have studied at university have more positive thoughts than the students who willingly settled in the program.
