Abstract (EN)
This study contains detailed information about the liver, which is the largest organ of the body, the size of a football, located on the right side of the abdomen, just below the diaphragm and protected by the lower ribs of the rib cage. Within the scope of the study, the anatomy and structure of the liver, the most important functions of the liver in the human body and the effects of liver diseases on pregnant women were examined. In addition, the most important symptoms of liver disease, the risks that people with liver disease are exposed to, how to protect the liver from diseases, and the extent of the effect of genetic factors on liver diseases are explained. In addition, the most important types of kidney cancer, its symptoms and how to protect the body from infections were also mentioned in the study. In addition, the factors and diseases that cause the increase and decrease of liver enzymes such as alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), gamma-glutamyl transaminase (GGT) and the direct effects of some of these enzymes on the heart and their effects on patients infected with Corona virus, especially in Mosul, Iraq, were examined. In our study, the normal levels of ALT, AST, ALP and TSB enzymes in the human body, as well as protein, globulin, albumin produced by the liver, were also mentioned. Then, the extent of the effects of coronavirus, which first emerged in Wuhan, China in December 2019 and is currently considered one of the most important global health problems, and the effects of Covid-19 disease caused by this virus on the liver are described by taking into account the age factor. In our study, 60 samples were collected from patients of different age, gender, weight and height. Through the study and the results, it was found ii that patients older than 50 years of age infected with the Corona virus had a higher increase in liver enzymes compared to patients younger than 50 years of age infected with the same virus and more prone to liver damage. The liver enzymes of overweight patients were also higher than those of people of normal weight, while the increase in the same enzymes of ideal weight patients under the age of 40 was observed to be minimal.
