Abstract (EN)
Stainless steels that have wide utilization areas in industry include of iron, chromium, nickel, carbon and other alloying elements and classified with four main branches as austenitic, ferritic, martensitic, and dublex stainless steels. In this thesis study, physical and electrochemical properties of austenitic and martensitic stainless steel prepared using powder metallurgy method using traditional pressing technique and heat treatment process were investigated. Experimental results showed that martensitic stainless steel samples have good physical properties such as high hardness, density, magnetization, specific heat capacity and enthalpy and high corrosion resistance as electrochemical behavior according to austenitic stainless steel samples. Both austenitic and martensitic stainless show phase transformations. On the austenitic stainless steel; α-martensite transformation happened from γ austenite whereas on the martensitic stainless steel; from martensite to reversed austenite transformation occurred.
