Abstract (EN)

In view of the importance of this phenomenon globally, and not only to Iraqi society, we decided to provide a brief study in which we can identify terrorism in Iraq and its causes, and accordingly we will divide this study into three chapters. In the first chapter, we will cover the concept of terrorism, its causes and motives that drive it to commit these criminal acts and what are their types, and we will describe the distinction between terrorist and similar acts, and then we turn to the Iraqi legislator's position on terrorism before 2003. In the second chapter of this study, we discuss how terrorism in Iraq was created after 2003, who is the Islamic State of Iraq and what are the Iraqi legislation after 2003 to combat this phenomenon, and what is the position of the Iraqi Anti-Terrorism Law No. 13 of 2005 regarding these terrorist acts. In the third chapter, we go to the general economic and foreign policies and their role in combating terrorism in Iraq, and what is the future of these policies in terms of success and failure.Then, to the conclusion of the topic, we will discuss the results of this research and what are the necessary measures to curb the dangerous terrorist phenomenon.
