Abstract (EN)

This thesis studies the relationship of Kurdish movement arisen in the northern region of Iraq with the regional and non-regional countries by trying to find out how this relationship influenced the development of the movement. The research supporting the idea that the Kurdish movement is open to foreign influences with the reason that the region is on a historical conflict line, covering mainly the period between 1918 and 1975. The relationship of Kurdish movement with foreign countries is interpreted evaluating the needs of both sides. The basic outcome of the research is that the Kurdish movement is exposed to intense influence of foreign countries in the period starting with the independence of Iraq until 1975 while increasing and decreasing dynamism of the movement is dependant on the foreign influences. Both the neighbouring countries of Iraq and the non-regional countries trying to penatrate in Middle East politcs have considered the agitation of Iraqi Kurds against the central government as the least-cost and probably the most successful means in order to realize their foreign policy interests towards this country. Surviving within this relations network, Kurdish movement is obssessed with the chance to obtain more previlege from the central government and becoming an integral component of the country has been affected negatively.
