A folkloric study examination on Iraq Turkmen proverbs

The article about the experiences and the situations that have happened is an important place in the transfer of culture. Proverbs, one of the products of the Iraqi Turkmen in question, it is important to convey the oral cultural words of Iraqi Turkmen to the future. In this study, a different approach was tried considering this situation and the qualities of the studies on proverbs. Although there are many studies on the subject, it is seen that the studies are of similar nature. Until today, Iraqi Turkmen proverbs have generally been compiled, but studies on their content have been limited. In this study, Iraqi Turkmen proverbs are classified according to their subjects and the social lives of Iraqi Turkmen are examined. It will be a guide for the studies to be carried out in order to fill this gap that arises in the literature.
