Expectations of Business Environment from Apprenticeship Training System andDetermination of Rate of Fulfilliment of These Espectations(Elazığ-Malatya-Diyarbakır Samples)Rahim ALADAĞFırat UniversitySocial Sciences InstituteDepartment of Education Sciences2006; XII +149This research has been undertaken for the expectations of business environment(apprentices, specialists and teachers) from apprenticeship system and to determine the rate offulfillment of these expectationsScanning method has been used for this research. In that regards, 3 questionaries havebeen prepared and conducted. These questionaries are apprentice-teacher; specialists -business owner; and teachers. This research has been applied on totally 562 people who are2nd, 3rd and 4th year students of; 68 teachers who are teachers of Vocational TrainingCenters in Elazığ, Malatya and Diyarbakır and 146 specialists for whom students work for in2005-2006 Education Term.Findings from the research can be summarized as follows:1. There is no good relationship between industry and job.2. Vocational Training Centers does not made enough publicity3. Apprentices have little motivation to participate in to trainings n VocationalTraining Centers, their capacity to analyze the information is insufficient and theyalso can?t apply the information.4. Programs being implemented in Vocational Training Centers are not convenientwith the needs of industry.5. There are no psychological consultancy and counseling services in VocationalTraining Centers.These can be recommended according to above findings.1. Vocational Training Centers should make some activities in order to develop thecoherency among industry and jobs.2. There should be some activities towards publicity of Vocational Training Centers.3. Apprentice students? participation to classes should be increased and newmethodologies should be implemented in order to enable them to understandclasses.4. Training programs should be prepared in accordance with industrial needs.5. Psychological consultancy and counseling services should be opened up inVocational Training Centers.
