Protection of employee's personal data in employment relationship

Advancements in information technology and technological activities in today's world have led to numerous issues concerning the use and sharing of personal data, despite making our lives more convenient. In the context of employment relationship, where technology usage and interpersonal communication are most prevalent, the right to the protection of an employee's personal data should be balanced with the employer's management right. In our study, we address the principles of the right to the protection of personal data within the framework of legal regulations, discussing the aspects that are subject to debate in achieving this balance, incorporating recent case studies for context. Furthermore, we examine the legal remedies that can be pursued in case of a violation of the right to the protection of personal data.
