Problems which are caused by industrial accidents

Humans changed their hunter-gatherer society to agricultural society in order to improve their life quality. Agricultural society raised human population and these also increased essential human needs. In order to meet large society's demands for food, clothes and other essential needs, some people participated in the production activity and such incident formed the working class. At the beginning working class performed in the unregulated working environments, however growth in working class and employees' demands for labor rights provided some regulations. Those regulations regulated workers' minimum wages, their working hours and their well-being in the working environments. Work accidents were also mentioned in those regulations. Work accident can be defined as discrete occurrence in the course of work leading to physical or mental occupational injury. Injuries may prevent employees to work and damage their finance. Therefore work accidents damage employees' financial status temporarily or permanently. Regulations protect workers from financial problems which might be caused by work accidents. Concept of social security was created in order to protect employees' rights. Also new regulations emphasized employers' responsibilities on work accidents with the aim of prevent such accidents completely or minimize them dramatically in the workplace. Moreover, regulations did not only emphasize owners' responsibilities, they also obliged social security institution to take responsibility on workplace accidents. Social security institution is responsible for compensations of workers who suffer from the work accidents.
