The role of KOSEB (Small and medium enterprises development organization) applied entrepreneurship training in the development of business plan preparation skills

Today, entrepreneurship and the value given to it are rapidly increasing and gaining importance. Many people now want to be entrepreneurs and set up their own businesses independently. Therefore people have shown great interest in training and education of entrepreneurship. Thanks to entrepreneurship trainings, an individual who wants to become an entrepreneur can have the possibility to prepare and present the business plan in a regular way. In this thesis, it was aimed to determine the effect of KOSGEB's applied entrepreneurship training course, which is included in compulsory courses in the undergraduate and associate degree departments, and programs of Aksaray University on the individuals' ability to make business plans. The research was based on quantitative research method. In the research process, firstly, a literature review on the subject was conducted and a conceptual framework was established. A questionnaire was prepared considering the various scales used for reliability and validity tests, which were used in previous similar studies. The population of the research was the students registered in the faculties, schools and vocational schools affiliated to Aksaray University. The sample was composed of 400 senior students who took entrepreneurship course in Aksaray University. Survey data were collected through a designed questionnaire via convenience sampling method and 400 students were reached for face-to-face data collection technique during the entrepreneurship lesson of the students. The collected data were analyzed by SPSS statistical package software program. Absolute and percentage value, factor analysis and descriptive statistics as well as independent sample t test and ANOVA analyzes were applied to the data. It has been determined that there is a significant difference between participants' entrepreneurial qualities and entrepreneurial intentions and ability to make business plans. It may also be said that having entrepreneurship traits and entrepreneurial intention contribute to the preparation of business plans.
