Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study was to evaluate the occupational health and safety practices of health personnel working in the State Hospital of Solhan State Hospital of Bingöl. The research is a descriptive study; Between May 2018 and November 2018, 80 nurses, 20 doctors and 50 other health personnel were employed. The first 9 questions containing the socio-demographic information of the participants used in the study were included in the first part of the questionnaire (Personal Information Form), 20 questions reflecting the security culture, the second part of the questionnaire (Employee Health and Safety Information Form) and the third part of the questionnaire consisted of the Work Safety Scale for the Health Staff Working in Hospital. Data were transferred to SPSS statistical program and analyzed. Descriptive statistics, frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t test, and variance analysis were used to evaluate the data. The rate of persons who had work accidents in the hospital where the study was conducted was 78.7%. In the evaluation of work safety scale score according to the professions of health personnel; nurses received 187.38 ± 22.39, doctors 181.75 ± 19.05, and other health personnel received 183.54 ± 22.36 points. In the evaluation of scale points according to the units they work; The number of health personnel working in the laboratory was 178.42 ± 20.54 and the number of those working in the hemodialysis was 192.35 ± 23.34. Occupational safety scale mean score of the health personnel was 185.35 ± 21.94. The highest score of the health personnel in the hospital according to their profession was evaluated by nurses, while the highest score was obtained from the staff working in the hemodialysis unit. It was concluded that the health personnel were satisfied with the health and safety practices in evaluating the overall scale score. Keywords: Occupational Health and Safety, Hospital Workers.
