Abstract (EN)
The widespread use of computers, telecommunications equipment and the Internet has led to significant changes in all categories of offices and businesses. With the development of technology, the use of the internet has not only come to homes but also to workplaces. It has been revealed that although there are good aspects of internet use, there are also abuses. Known as "Virtual Loafing" in the literature, it constitutes the use of the internet that is not related to work within the scope of working hours of the employees. Job Satisfaction, which is the subject of the research, expresses the degree of satisfaction of the employees in the institutions where they work. The aim of this research is to determine the Effect between Cyberloafing and Job Satisfaction. The research is to determine whether there is an effect on the employees at the border gates in Ardahan province. For this purpose, the research sample consists of 236 employees. The survey system and survey technique were used in the study, which was based on the effectual screening model. For the cyberloafing dimension, the "Virtual Loafing Scale" developed by Örücü and Yıldız (2014) in their article titled "Personal Internet and Technology Use at Work: Cyberloafing" by including certain questions of the scale used in previous studies will be used. In the first 8 questions of the questionnaire administered by Örücü and Yıldız, important cyberloafing activities are measured and in the next 6 questions unimportant cyberloafing activities are measured. Veis et al. (1967) to measure job satisfaction, translated into Turkish by Baycan (1985), reliability and validity analysis studies were carried out, and the "Minnesota Job Satisfaction Scale" consisting of 20 questions will be used. The Minnesota job satisfaction scale was created to determine internal satisfaction with 12 questions and external job satisfaction with 8 questions. As a result of the statistical analysis, it was concluded that there is an effect between cyberloafing and job satisfaction, and the effects of the sub-dimensions of both variables were analyzed and they created both negative and positive effects. In the study, it was also examined whether demographic characteristics differ in the effect of cyberloafing and job satisfaction. Demographic characteristics discussed in the direction of the research; gender, marital status, age and education level. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that there were significant differences between demographic characteristics, cyberloafing and job satisfaction. When the literature was reviewed, it was determined that there were few studies conducted to determine the relationship and effect between cyberloafing and job satisfaction. It is thought that the results determined as a result of this research will contribute to both private sector management and public sector management.
