Mobing in business life; A field study for academic and administrative personel at Fırat University

The concept of mobbing, which is defined as psychological harassment, violence or disturbance, can be defined as the entirety of malignant, intentional and negative attitudes and behaviors, which damage personal values, professional status, social relationships and health of a victim or victims while aiming to discourage, pacify or suspend especially in workplaces and mostly in a continuous and systematic way. In the light of this definition, in this study, the theoretical framework of the concept of mobbing was investigated. In the second section of the study, the Mobbing Scale was developed and the psychometric properties of this scale were investigated. In the development period of the Mobbing Scale, exploratory factor analysis was conducted. As a result of the exploratory factor analysis, it was determined that the 3-factored structure of the scale, which included 22 items, was suitable while this 3-factored structure explained 56,790% of the total variance. The factor loads of the items constituting the scale were observed to range from ,519 to ,829.
