The effect of lonelisness at work on job embeddedness: A study on health employess

In this study, it is aimed to reveal the effect of loneliness at work on job embeddedness. In this context, health workers with the titles of doctors, nurses, midwives and technicians in private health institutions operating in the province of Istanbul between January and March 2022 constitute the universe of the study. The data were collected using the survey method. The sample of the study consists of 426 health workers, consisting of 45 doctors, 155 nurses, 92 midwives and 134 technicians, who agreed to participate in the study with convenience sampling method. The questionnaire form includes demographic characteristics of the participants, Loneliness in Work Life Scale and Job Embedded Scale. The collected data were analyzed in SPSS 25 and AMOS statistical program. Descriptive statistics, factor analysis of scales, reliability analysis, normality test, correlation analysis and regression analysis were used in the analysis of the data. As a result of the analyzes; it was concluded that loneliness in business life has a negative and significant effect on job embeddedness, and emotional deprivation and social friendship, which are the sub-dimensions of loneliness in business life, have a significant and negative effect on job embeddedness.
