ABSTRACT THE STATUS OF THE USE OF ELECTRONIC BANKING OF BUSINESSMEN AND ENCOUNTERED PROBLEMS Economic relations have been affected by the developments in the internet technology, the effects of which are seen on people nowadays. While business world is getting accustomed to the innovations, come out with the innovations in the online environment, banking services has got its share. Like other businessmen in the world, Turkish businessmen are trying to get adapted to online banking systems In this thesis, the aim is to find out the tendency of Turkish businessmen in using the interne technology in banking. Firstly, information about the historical progress of the internet has been given programs done in the online both in Turkey and in the world have been presented statistically. The concepts of electronic trade and banking have been examined. Then, the rates of usage and problems encountered have been explained. After this general frame, the state of Turkish banking system in the internet technology has been discussed with a questionnaire, the attitude of Turkish businessmen to electronic banking practices has been searched. According to the study, Turkish businessmen are getting used to the internet technology very fast. This tendency has influenced banking practices as well. It can be claimed that although electronic banking has some security problems, in the following years, this tendency will continue to increase.
