Prof. Dr. Halil İbrahim Gürcan In this research, the efficiency of news sites, in order to apply journalism ethics codes from the perspectives of production process and workers' quality was tried to analysed. In order to reach this goal, a questionnaire was designed to describe news sites and internet journalist in Turkey and to find out the reasons of ethical problems. This questionnaire was applied to responsible persons of internet news sites in Turkey. Outcomes of this research show that, internet journalism is getting to be a big sector in Turkey, although it doesn't have its own legal regulations yet; internet journalism labors are working under very heavy conditions; and news site content produced by a very few labors is the main reason of the ethical problems. As a result of this research, the ethical problems in internet journalism are: There is no legal regulations on internet journalism workers; there are no workers for interactive applications; ethical problems have not been described yet there are no ethical standarts for this new medium; protection of internet users against harmful and aggressive content; personal information of internet users started to have a commercial value; and vagueness of borders on news production, getting advertisements and the other terms of income.
