Abstract (EN)
This study aims to determine the relationship between business motivation factors and organizational commitment of hotel employees and to determine whether business motivation has an effect on organizational commitment. In the study descriptive scanning model was used. In the study three, four and five star hotel businesses selected as a sample which located in Erzincan and Erzurum provinces where important winter tourism centers of Turkey. The study was conducted in May 2018. Two hundred and fifty-six employees have been reached who providing active services in 7 hotels of three and four stars in Erzincan city center and 9 hotels of three, four and five stars in Erzurum city center. The data required for the analysis of the research was obtained with the questionnaire survey. The questionnaire consists of three parts. In the first part, personal information, in the second part organizational commitment, in the third part business motivation survey is located. The data obtained from the questionnaire were analyzed using SPSS 22 package program. Basic descriptive statistics, t-Test, one-way analysis of variance and multiple comparison tests were used for analysis. Pearson correlation and regression analysis were used among the continuous variables of the study. VI According to the correlation analysis results, a positive, close to high level relationship was found between motivation and organizational commitment, and it was accepted that there was a significant positive relationship between motivation and organizational commitment of employees at 5% significance level. According to the results of regression analysis to determine the cause and effect relationship between motivation and organizational commitment; it was concluded that motivation has a significant effect on organizational commitment and motivation increases the level of organizational commitment. The t-Test and one-way analysis of variance were used to determine whether the organizational commitment and job motivation of the employees changed according to the control variables (demographic characteristics). According to the findings, the results of organizational commitment and motivation change depending on the control variables; it was concluded that the motivation and organizational commitment of the employees showed some significant differences according to demographic characteristics. As a result of the research, the motivation of employees is high and their organizational commitment is high; The relationship between motivation and organizational commitment was found to be positive.
