The role of counseling services in Turkish education system on development of labor

The element which changes an individual?s contribution level is thought to be his/her education. That is, an individual has to have a certain set of knowledge in order to contribute to a work. Individual?s contribution level increases with his/her increase in knowledge. In a similar approach, in an economy, contribution of individuals to production and thus the national income increases with their increase in production knowledge level. In this relationship, education is the affecting, and labor is the affected.The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of vocational guidance to labor and the development in labor. There are many factors involved in development of labor. The general idea is the importance of vocational guidance starting from childhood. Vocational guidance studies aim to provide a development. The place of vocational guidance in a country?s development is discussed conceptually. Vocational Guidance concept is discussed in terms within the framework of counseling Services. During this process, duty and responsibilities of individuals are discussed. We tried to establish a link between labor and vocational guidance. In this manner, it is important to guide students in choosing an employment, finding the best career for themselves and prepare for working life and their jobs.Classroom teachers have the important duties of applying counseling activities in classrooms and analyzing the results, and solving various in-class problems of children. For this, a healthy classroom environment for the teaching duties of the educational and vocational guidance. In this thesis, a survey study was conducted in order to identify teachers having deep one-on-one relationships with students and applying counseling studies, learning about the thoughts of classroom counseling teachers on vocational guidance, and taking their suggestions. The effect of vocational guidance application on labor is discussed. In the study, it is seen that our country doesn?t have a systematic and effective vocational guidance service. The main need in this area is to have an information link between the education system and the business world. Also, it is seen that there is a need for various sources. At that point, classroom counseling teachers that work on the frontline have a critical duty in our country?s development.A bridge between the business world and the education system is needed for a healthy guidance. One of the factors needed for this is the Vocational guidance services. It is thought that counseling services have an important impact on labor?s development.
