Non-hearing handicapped and hearing handicapped investigation and aggression levels futbolcularin self-esteem

Sport is a part of a universal culture and also an important vehicle that combines people whose language, race and religion is different from each other. Sport beside its physical benfits can be defined as a set of activities that are done to gain social and moral benefits and to affect people?s spiritual health in a positive way. By looking at this common definition of sport, it can be said that whole people with dissabilities or not are implied.This study examines the relationship between the self-esteem and agression levels of deaf footballers in disability group and those who are not with this disablities and compares deaf footballers and hearing footballers. Fort this reason, 95 deaf footballers within 586 sportsmen who play in the 2010-2011 deaf league are participated in the study voluntarily. 309 footballers without any deaf disabilities who play in the 1. amateur club in the cities where deaf people setle take part in the study. Totally 404 footballers are the sample of the study.Personal information form, Self-esteem Scale and Agression Scale are used to obtain the necessary data. The data obtained from the study is analyzed by SPSS program.The self esteem of the deaf footballers and the hearing footballers is in the middle level. While there is not an important difference between the deaf footballer?s self-esteem avarage score according to the age variable statistically, there is an important difference for the hearing footballers statistically (p<.05). There is not an important difference between deaf footballers? self-esteem avarage score statistically according to the doing sport year (p>.05) but there is a statistically important difference for hearing footballers (p<.05).There is not an important difference between deaf footballers? self-esteem avarage score according to the education variable statistically (p>.05). On the other hand, there is an important difference between the footballers? self-esteem avarage score according to the education variable statistically (p<.05).When the footballers? general agression avarage score is evaluated according to the disability level, deaf ( totally) footballers? general agression values are =153.53 and hearing footballers general agression values are =114.00.There is not an important difference between deaf footballers? agression avarage scores according to doing sport year statistically. There is an important difference between the hearing footballers?agression avarage scores according to doing sport year statistically.While there is not an important difference between deaf footballers? destructive agression avarage scores according to the their playing position statistically, there is an important difference between deaf footballers? hardiness avarage score according to their playing position statistically.As a result, there is an important difference between hearing and deaf footballers? self-esteem and agression levels against deaf footballers statistically.
