Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to examine the scores of The Parents Evaluation of Aural/Oral Performance of Children (PEACH) and The Audıtory Behavıor In Everyday Lıfe (ABEL) scales in school-aged children with hearing loss and to examine the relationship between scale scores. In the study, we examined the daily life auditory performance of school-age children aged 7-12, using unilateral or bilateral hearing aids, using the PEACH and ABEL questionnaires. A statistically significant difference was found between the subdimensions of the PEACH scale (quiete and noise) and the subdimensions of the ABEL scale (auditory-verbal, auditory awareness, social/conversation skills) and overall scores (p>0.05). As a result, we think that one of the PEACH and ABEL scales may be sufficient to measure the performance of a child with hearing loss in daily life.
