Abstract (EN)
Caravans have been one of the oldest means of transportation of people throughout history. Caravan trips were made for different reasons such as trade, worship and migration. Very important historical roads like Silk Road, Fur Road and Royal Road were used by caravans. In this study, the subject of caravan activities carried out in the Arabian Peninsula from the Pre-İslâmic period until the death of the Prophet was discussed. In consequence of the study, it was seemed that Arabs living in Arabian Peninsula and in the historical process stated above, were very active in caravan organization and observed that political events encountered in the peninsula effect the caravan organization positively or negatively.
