The origins of figurative Islamic decorations in pre Islamic cultures

Humankind has sought different ways to express themselves, in physical and mental forms, since the first breath. This search is related to the nature of humankind, through the course of history managed to pass expriences from generation to genaration that was gained and acumilated, both culturaly and hereditary in the gene pool. Human who were able to survive with visual and textual expression achive to form with this expression what we call culture, a concept that is alive. In the periods when the writing was unknown humans created visual expression with two or three diomensions, following the invention of writing humans formed expression to support or to explain these visual expression, thus entered an era that has greater and faster communication, spreading trade, wars, epidemics to large masses. The search for form of expression that we mention has showed itself in mystical orientation. In order to find and to understand the creater humankind has made an effort by paying attention to its inner voice and reinforcing it by spitural matters such as god, creation, universe, life and death. Thus Prophet Abraham is the clearest example of this matter in Islamic literature. This search of representation that has made a place in human genetic memory with the historical process spread with the teachings of prophets sent to every era and every community as the Quran states. Different communities live in different areas that could never be aware of each other displays cultural, religious, artistic and linguistic similarities strongly clears away the possibility of coincidence. The main syllabus of this study will be focusing on this matter. In this study we claim to find out the roots of common expression seen in history of humanity that affects Islamic culture by following a systematical way; it is going to help us at the point of understanding the origin of figures in islamic art and folklore by having scientific conclusions based on archaeological finds and analysis of all the findings by multidisciplinary apporoaches.
