Abstract (EN)

Keywords: Operational Transconductance Amplifier (OTA), Filter, Oscillator, ORCAD, Pspice, In this thesis, the aim was to realize filter and oscillator circuits which affect highly electrical system performance with OTA devices and to compare them to those using OP-AMP. The first part is the introduction part and here information has been given about the historical development of OP-AMP and OTA. In the second part, information has been given about the inner structure of BJT OTA and CMOS OTA. Structures have been examined. Besides, information has been given about how to use OTA in application circuits. In the third part, OTA and OP-AMP have been compared and the reasons for preference of OTA?s filter and oscillator circuits have been put forth. In the fourth part, CA3080 OTA, the integrated circuit of bipolar structure which can be easily found in the market has been examined. Besides the catalog information of this integrated circuit used in Pspice simulations, input voltage limitation ,bias current (Iabc) and effects on the current output of load resistance have been observed by making simulations. In the fifth part some circuits using OTA have been examined by making mathematical analysis. In the sixth part, information about active filter structures using OTAs and design methods has been given and sample applications have been realized. Filters using OP-AMP and OTA with high cut-off frequency have been simulated and compared. In the seventh part OTA oscillator circuits have been obtained and compared to OPAMP oscillators.
