Application areas and significance of accounting information systems at facility management a case at a textile firm

Efficient management o facilities depends on establishment of proper accounting systems and usage of accounting outputs during the phase of managemnt. Financial data is extremely important for the managers, board of directors, at the stage of decision making. These financial data should be gathered, refined, calassified and reported. Because of this reason, accounting information systems must be implemented. In fact implementation itself is not soleyly adequate. Outputs of these systems should be paid by the managers. The importance of accounting information systems arese from presentation of data and reports to the managemers during decision making. Realibility of financial data gathered at the end of each term is possible, only by accounting information systems. At the smae time AIS should campile knowledge about the other departments data so enabling their control and audit. A complicated and comprehensive computer system is essential in order to establish an eficient accounting system. By means of such a system, all the financial data included in the AIS shoul be reported in a rapid and correct way. During the case study therotical information is supplied in two parts. In the third part AIS of GÜRTEKS- a textile firm operating in Gaziantep is examined. Effects by the result of company's AIS outputs to the management decision is investigated and condequences are evaluated.
