The role of the human resources department in organizations and perceptions of the human resources department

This study examines the role of the Human Resources Department in organizations and the perceptions of the department among employees of other departments. Before explaining the structure of the Human Resources Department, the concept of departmentalization is discussed within a broader framework, followed by an overview of the departments that constitute large-scale organizations. The role of the Human Resources Department within organizations, its relationship to strategic decision-making processes, and perceptions of the department are analyzed. The expanding scope and increasing responsibilities of the Human Resources Department over time have led to heightened expectations among employees in other departments.
