Abstract (EN)

This study is a research to define the efficiency of Grunig and Hunt's models of public relations in managing cultural diversity in the enterprise and to determine the relationship between Hofstede?s cultural variables and models of public relations. This study has been carried out through conducting a poll on the 23 of the 52 private corporations which are the ones operating in İstanbul and the capital of which are foreign, chosen from the first 500 public and private corporations in Turkey according to data of ISO 2008. As a result of the analysis of the data acquired, mixed models of public relations, which are combinations of one-way communication and two-ways communication, are used in carrying out the proceeding of public relations. Moreover, it has been deduced that culture extent of individualism is parallel with the four models of public relations and two way symmetrical model of public relations and it has a positive relationship with the extent of uncertainity avoidence.Keywords: Cultural Diversity, Intercultural Communication and Public Relations
