Application of enterprise engineering methodology and designing a model for service industry

Developing technology has caused the dissappearing of limits in international market and changing the expectations of customers. Therefore the goals, methods, and basic organization principles of traditional companies have lost their popularities. The productivity of the companies can be measured by using the sources effectively, producing high quality products, and realizing customers' expectations. Enterprise engineering is one of the methodologies for bringing up the these worths to the highest level. Enterprise engineering is a discipline, working with engineering, analysing methods and tools in all departments within the company for bringing up the company to an effective and developed level. The steps of this study are given as strategic planning, process improvement and performance measurement. The overall aim of these steps are to analyze information used, put in order it, and design a system in which information could be used. In the introduction chapter of the thesis, general information was given about enterprise engineering. In the second chapter, a literature study for organization management, organization structures of previous scientific management and after scientific management periods were analyzed. In the third chapter, general inmformation of organizational change management was given with organizational change process, application of organizational change management and the problems faced while organizational change. Enterprise engineering concept was given in the forth chapter. Enterprise engineering discipline, the steps of enterprise engineering methodology, the advanteges and disadvanteges of enterprise engineering were also analyzed. In the fifth chapter, re-organization issues in enterprise engineering was mentioned. After the re-organization studies in EGS Holding Company, as an practical implementation, the similarities between enterprise engineering and re organization were analyzed in the sixth chapter.
