Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to determine how the trust of employees in their organizations affects their organizational commitment. To this end, a Survey was conducted on 250 dealers of a well-known international white goods company operating in the Aegean and Mediterranean regions. Data was collected from a total of 114 participants from 45 dealers. Demographic characteristics of the participants; their level of trust in the manager, colleagues and organizations; emotional, continuity and normative commitment levels and finally, the effects of organizational trust on organizational commitment were analyzed. According to the results of the correlation analysis, three sub-dimensions of Organizational Trust (Trust to Manager, Trust to Colleagues and Trust to Organization) were found to have a positive and moderate relationship with both Emotional Commitment and Normative Commitment. On the other hand, there was a negative but weak relationship between Continuity Commitment and Friends Trust and Organizational Trust variables. As a result of the regression analysis, only the organizational trust sub-dimension of Organizational Trust was found to increase the affective commitment. Both Confidence in Manager and Confidence in Organization have a similar effect on normative commitment.
