Abstract (EN)

One of the most debated topics in the science of tafsir is undoubtedly the issue of isrāiliyyat. Although many commentators and scholars criticize the inclusion of isrāiliyyat in tafsīr, it has been inevitable to use isrāiliyyat in understanding some of the verses, and even some of the critics could not refrain from using this information. Isma'īl Hakki Bursawī's Rūhu'l-bayān is an allegorical tafsīr, and therefore, there is a great deal of isrāili information. It would be a useful study for those who are interested in this exegesis to identify the isrāili information in this work, which is highly valued by many Sufi groups in Turkey, to investigate their sources and to present them to the reader according to their subjects. With this in mind, in this study, after giving information about the commentator and his work and the definition of isrāiliyyat, the isrāilī narrations in the work are mentioned under subject headings. The sources and authenticity of many narrations have been investigated, and comparisons have been made with the classical narrative commentaries, thus providing important information about the narrations in the work
