Mercy in İsmail Turan's commentary called Wujûhu't-Ta'wîl fî Asrâri't-Tanzîl

Mercy, which we can summarize as blessings and blessings given by God, is divided into two as private and general. While everyone on earth can benefit from general mercy whether they believe in God or not, only believers and those who follow divine orders can benefit from special mercy. However sometimes, the evaluations related to some aspects of mercy such as torment, punishment, justice etc. have changed the meaning scope of mercy. In particular, God's punishments via natural disasters, wars, etc. in the world and eternal torment in the hereafter have been tried to be explained within the framework of the relationship of endless mercy. Some experts in the field claim that it is not possible for an eternally merciful being to torment, and it is defended that the torment is not eternal. Sometimes, extreme thoughts, which exclude most of the attributes of God, have been put forward which allege that everyone's sins, including the deniers, will be forgiven, just because God is merciful. Sometimes, as a requirement of God's justice, he is thought to be obliged to have mercy on everyone. For all these reasons, it is extremely important to determine the framework of mercy. In this study, we aim to determine the framework of mercy within the context of İsmail Turan's commentary called Wujûhu't-Ta'wîl fî Asrâri't-Tanzîl . As a result of our study, we are of the opinion that there is no mercy for unbelievers in the hereafter. Therefore, the claim that torment will one day end for deniers, transgressors etc. is not true addressing only within the framework of mercy. In addition, God's's principle concerning mercy does not mean that he has to give or create the best for the servant. If such an obligation is thought about God, then he will be brought under some limits which will bring other problems alongside.
