Abstract (EN)

The current work aims to isolate and identify some types of bacteria from male infertility with urinary and reproductive tract infections and to study the susceptibility of these bacteria to antibiotics. Fifty-five clinical semen samples were obtained. Results of sex hormones showed that testosterone levels were significantly lower (P <0.05) in the patients group than in the control group, while FSH and LH concentrations were significantly higher (P <0.05) in the infertile group than in the control group. With regard to interleukins, IL-6 and IL-10 concentrations were non-significant changes (p <0.05) in the patients group than in the control group. For the bacteriological study, the results showed two types of isolates, single bacterial isolates 29 (52.8%), mixed bacterial isolates 21 (38.2%). The percentages of isolates from Staphylococcus spp. and E. coli and Klebsiella spp. and Streptococcus spp. They were 100%, 12.7%, 18.2%, and 10.9%, respectively. For antibiotic susceptibility testing, Escherichia coli showed total (100%) resistance to amoxicillin/clavulanic acid and ampicillin. Klebsiella spp. showed total (100%) resistance to amoxicillin/clavulanic acid and ampicillin. 40% resistance to Nalidixic. Unlike that. Staphylococcus spp. He showed complete resistance to penicillin, oxacillin and cefoxitin.
