Özet (EN)
Bosphorus is the place which protects its importance such as geography, strategic, morphologic, hydrologic, climatic and culturel from ages and it also undertakes very important function in Istanbul metroplitan environment but Bosphorus has been affected negatively by the factors like population increase, fast urbanization, industrialization and internal migration. Bosphorus wood are the most outstanding property of Bosphorus which shows partially historical and cultural characteristics of Bosphorus. In addition it undertakes important functions as ecolological, historical and cultural, sociology, psychology and economic in the city. The functions and positions, past characteristics from ages up to present time and past situations of wood in city have been investigated in the paper called ?Considering the Actual Usage of stanbul-Bosphorus Wood? and present situations have been analyzied by pointing out of protecting of its historical and natural structures and also stressed out of its important usage requirement and precautions and suggestions have been tried to emphasize. Key words: Bosphorus, wood, Bosphorus wood, the functions of wood, usage of wood.
