Presentation of sexuality and erotism encoders in the plays played in Istanbul State Theaters between 1990-2000

In this study, scenarios that provide diversity and efficiency in terms of observing expression possibilities are used as corpus. The scenarios were exhibited at Istanbul State Theaters between 1990 and 2000, and were limited to all Turkish texts in the dramaturgy archives of the Istanbul State Theaters General Directorate. The presentations of sexuality / eroticism encoders were investigated with the foresight that the explanations in brackets, instructions and abstracts called pre-play in the texts prepared for demonstration are at least as important as language units in the coding of sexuality / eroticism. These characteristics, which are unique to the scenarios, strengthen the transmitter's situation, especially in cases where the concepts deemed prohibited cannot be clearly presented; It makes it easier to identify sexuality / eroticism, which tends to be transmitted through implications, associations and bodily contacts, through written text. The aforementioned coders, which form the basis of the study, were determined by taking into account both language and trans language elements, and evaluated by considering the roles and meanings imposed by the text producer within the context. An examination model was created within the existing possibilities of language, and it was seen that each of the existing possibilities was used in coding sexuality / eroticism.
