Abstract (EN)

This research aims to reveal the catalog of political memories published in Istanbul newspapers between 1928-1950 in the light of available sources. The date range covered by the study is the period when memoirs published in Istanbul newspapers were intense and important publications were made. The fact that most of the political characters and witnesses who lived in the last years of the Ottoman Empire and the first years of the Republic were alive in the years covered by the research makes this study important in terms of confirming the accuracy of the writings. Serials, written as biographies and carrying information as memorabilia, were also considered – in the secondary. Another aim of the study is to eliminate the confusion in the deformation, ideological changes and destruction of the memories serialized in newspapers when they are published as a book in the future. On the other hand, serial writing has been evaluated not as a literary genre but in a historical context. Since some of the memoirs writers used pseudonym (pen name) in the study, to eliminate the confusion about this issue, these pseudonyms were clarified through various sources and authors were disclosed. The serials with photographs are specified in the description part of the template (with photographs). Key Words: Political, Memoir, Catalogue, Feuilleton, Biography, Newspaper
