Abstract (EN)
Today, it is widely accepted that teachers are of the uppermost importance in the progressand reconstruction of the Vocational and Technical Education institutions. Improving theworking conditions of teachers in terms of quality and quantity, raising their economicsituations up to the contemporary life standards, maintaining a good rapport amongcolleagues, and giving them the opportunity to improving themselves constantly in workplace in accordance with the technological progresses, and to advance in career willincrease the job satisfaction of the teachers who work in Vocational and TechnicalEducation institutions, enhance their successes, and will boost their effectiveness touppermost level.In this research, the aim is to determine the job satisfaction of the teachers working inVocational and Technical Education Schools in Municipality of Bahcelievler, in theProvince of Istanbul.The research is consisted of six sections. The first section explains the terminology relatedto job satisfaction, where as the second one summaries the theories of job satisfaction. Thethird section of the research is on the review the literature of the studies conducted inTurkey and abroad, which is followed by the analyses in Section Four. The fifth sectionfocuses on findings and evaluations, of which conclusions are drawn in the last section,namely Section Six.Key Words: Job Satisfaction, Vocational and Technical Education
