Abstract (EN)

The aim of this thesis is to obtain relations among the heat changes and residential tissue in the rapidly changing and developing metropolitan Istanbul area, to shed light for policies that can be developed in this context, and to provide academic contribute to the subject in the terms of planning by surveying climatic effect levels of urban items. In this research by making use of relations between physical and morphological features and climatic effect levels of the city, suggestion of building a healthy urban model is represented.In the first section of this work, importance of the subject, aim and benefits of the thesis and literature review have been defined.In the second part, for representing the relation of climate and urbanization and pointing to the problem points more clearly, subject has been detailed with literature support. Again in this section, various methods that used for modelling and measuring the urban climate have been examined.In the third section, method and field of the thesis, datas used and statistical analysis have been referred. At the analysis, heat datas that have been measured over the satellite datas and urban features have been evaluated together, and they have been associated and correlation among them have been examined and modeled with the tree diagram.In the last section, results and suggestions section, all of the analysis data have been interpreted by evaluating together with obtained conceptual informations, thus proactive measures and proposed solutions have been presented by considering Istanbul and its development.
