Abstract (EN)

The subject of this master thesis is; researching application and economic studies also reaching feasibility basis of the wind energy facilities in Istanbul. Wind energy potential maps that are published on comminication resources by Electricity Studies Department of the Turkish Government are analysed and Istanbul city in Marmara region is evaluated. There are six stabilized locations and lines that?s feasibility determined and the richest wind potential regions are identified. The density values of wind potential maps are studied by micro evaluation for suitable areas to calculate the electricity manufacturing by wind potential. Total energy manufacturing cost and levelised cost method is used to determine capital and total energy costs in the economic analysis period of thesis. World energy scenarios are discussed to find the significance level of the investments in concerned projects. European Turbine Standarts are studied to designate the intermeddling focuses of the system. The components of the investment process is given by investors guide as a road map for investment projects. All these steps are aimed to increase the values of connection to city electricity network. Keywords: Wind Turbines, Renewable Energy Resources, Wing Energy, Wind Potential, Istanbul Wind Energy Potential Analysis
