The effect of İstanbul lodges on the cultural life (Example of Uzbek lodges)

In our thesis, a subject that deals with the purpose of the sects and the dervish lodges formed by these sects in a city like Istanbul during the Ottoman period, how they affected people, their relations with the state and what they contributed to Istanbul in general, is explained.In the Ottoman period, we discussed in detail the sects that played a major role in the development of Istanbul, the paths of their founders, what thoughts they had, and for what purpose they gathered people under a lodge. we have analyzed the state-tekke relationship, which is completely intertwined with each other. In this thesis, it was revealed what important dervish lodges in the Ottoman period were dealing with, what they promised first to their communities and then to other people, and the facts that some dervish lodges had a great role in development. We discussed the common points of all these lodges, the disputes between the sects, the relations between the sect and the state. The formation of dervish lodges and their connections with the community show that the sects and dervish lodges that existed in Ottoman Istanbul were a factor that directly affected the way of life, the thoughts of the people and the voice of the communities.
