Abstract (EN)
This document contains the reading texts in the Istanbul Turkish for Foreigners B1 Coursebook according to the root value in the Turkish Language Teaching Program published in 2019. The results of the examinations were tabulated according to the presence of values in the text and usage performance. After being given in the eighteen texts in the Istanbul Turkish B1 Coursebook for Foreigners, each of them was examined one by one and in order in terms of values, and the results were stated after each text. As a result of the examination, it was seen that Istanbul Turkish for Foreigners B1 = = values were mentioned. It has been found that the given values can be transferred exactly. It was observed that a total of 76 values were covered in 18 different texts within the textbook. The most records of honesty and self-control were found, and the least records of patriotism. Other values such as justice, friendship, self-control, patience, respect, love and helpfulness were observed in the text. While the terms honesty, justice, self-control, responsibility, respect, friendship, love, patience, helpfulness, and patriotism are mentioned as values in the Turkish Curriculum published in 2018, root values are not specified in the same Turkish Curriculum published in 2019. While the operation has the same name in two different curriculums, the only difference is the values/root values. Eight texts in the Istanbul Turkish for Foreigners B1 Coursebook are stated according to the different value/root values in the Turkish Curriculum. After stating which values are found in the examined texts, all values are given as explanations and turned into tables in which text they are included.
