Abstract (EN)

Plastic is an easily procesable material and lighter than its alternatives. For this reason, it is among the most used materials today. Turkey is the second country that produces most plastic products among European countries by the year 2019. However, it should be able to provide consistently competitive prices in order to maintain this situation. It is very difficult to provide competitive prices in the sector since its raw material is petrol. In this sense, optimization of product recipes and process parameters, which may affect product quality, is very important. It is known that experimental designs created with classical methods which have been quite time and costly due to the large number of parameters and level variables. For this reason, it has not been widely used. However, Taguchi has minimized the cost and time requirements with the method developed by working for many years. This method, which requires less experimentation and therefore less costly and requires less time, is as accurate as classical methods. The Taguchi experimental design method uses orthogonal sequences where all variables are changed simultaneously. In this study, in the extrusion process of glass fiber reinforced polyamide 6 product which is a widely used composite in the sector; The interactions between torque, speed, melt temperature parameters and recycle polyamide 6 ratio on product mechanical values, maximum tensile strength and izod notched impact strength values were investigated. In this study, L9 orthogonal arrangement of Taguchi experiment design was used. This thesis consists of three chapters. In the first part, quality and statistical control methods are given. In the second part, experimental design, experimental design methods, principles, experimental design steps and principles are explained. In the third part, information about the material and method is given. Then the steps of the experiment performed and the results and interpretation are given.
