Abstract (EN)

In the literature, the relationships between happiness at work, leader-member exchange, and resistance to change have not been examined in a single study. The current study aims to examine the relationships between these variables. Participants (n = 161), who worked at a state university and participated in the study voluntarily, completed the Multidimensional Leader-Member Exchange Scale, the Change Attitude Scale, and the Turkish version of Happiness at Work Scale. According to the correlation analysis results, the relationships between the variables are statistically significant (except for the relationships between work repulsive feelings and resistance to change and its dimensions, and between work repulsive feelings and contribution). According to the regression analysis results, leader-member exchange affects both happiness at work and resistance to change. Additionally, resistance to change determines happiness at work. According to the results, interactions between happiness at work and leader-member relationship styles affect resistance to change. An increase in affect and professional respect leader-member relationship tendencies increases happiness at work while an increase in professional respect leader-member relationship weakens resistance to change. Additionally, as participants' behavioral attitudes towards change increase, their happiness at work weakens. Keywords: Happiness at work, leader-member exchange, resistance to change.
